Welcome to REBA’S

Reba’s Animal Rescue was created out of love.

Founders Charlie and Melony Daniels shared a passion and a dream to provide a caring, welcoming space for dogs and cats whose circumstances left them needing safe placement and adoption. This heartfelt mission would also relieve animal rescues and shelters like an spca of overcrowding and the possibility of pet euthanasia.

When it opened its doors November 2023, on S Military Hwy in Chesapeake, VA, Reba’s Animal Rescue and Adoption Center realized its dream of a community-focused, innovative animal adoption center, primarily for the adoption of dogs and cats.

Thoughtfully designed, this 3,500 square foot facility showcases warm and stress-free spaces for:

  • The friendly welcoming of guests and volunteers who arrive daily
  • Calming interactions and enrichment activities with animals adjusting to their new accommodations at the Chesapeake animal shelter
  • Wellness evaluations to determine the comprehensive medical, behavioral, exercise and nutritional needs of new animal residents
  • Staff and volunteer training and education programs, professionally developed to uphold our mission and standards of care
  • Enriching and spacious kennel suites offering sanctuary and a personalized, homelike atmosphere for hundreds of adoptable animals annually
